"The DESPRO On-line Community of Local Development Practices was initiated in 2012; since that time, we have conducted more than 30 distance training courses for representatives of local self-government. According to users of the On-line Community of Practices and experts, the Management of Local Development Project course was one of the most successful, which course has been gathering interested audience for eight years running, nevertheless, the subject matter of the course never was the same", manager of the DESPRO Project Oksana Garnets noted presenting activities of the Community of Practices.

"With due regard to the experience of the DESPRO Project in the implementation of e-courses, we could not keep out and supported the idea of developing an online course for applicants for positions of reform experts, because the Community of Practices is not just an educational environment, but also an opportunity to discuss creative ideas with like-minded persons", Oksana Garnets summed up.

In addition to the possibilities of professional communication, the "New Public Service" resource affords opportunity to:

  • review information materials regarding the reform of public administration, basic knowledge of policy analysis and strategic planning, undergoing the stages of competitive selection;

  • take trial test regarding legislation knowledge, analytical skills and verbal intelligence, and make situational judgements.
