Equal participation of women and men in the decision making plays
a significant role in the process of reforming local self-government and
decentralization in Ukraine. In this context, empowerment of women in
local self-government, their active involvement in the economic
development processes and bridging the gender gap in terms of
access to economic resources and public goods are extremely
important.
In order to consolidate and further institutionalize the DESPRO
activities in this field, DESPRO has developed this strategic document
that is to be implemented in 2020-2021.
